Upwards-Tilting Homes

The Leaning House's Tilted Design Helps It Capture Sunlight

The Leaning House is a residential property that tilts upwards, allowing clients to enjoy an excellent view of the nearby lake while also attracting sunlight despite the surrounding landscape being quite hilly. The home is located near Seoul, South Korea and is designed by the Praud architecture firm.

The interior of the Leaning House is open-concept and consists of a family room, living room, kitchen, terrace and a mezzanine with a reading room, library, bedroom and bathroom. The lake view can be taken in from the balcony, which can be accessed by a flight of stairs.

Another benefit of the tilted house design is the creation of a small shaded terrace at the front of the home.

The structure is zinc-clad and takes up 96 square meters of space.
