Architecture studio and designer Ksa Studený created a new trapezoidal concrete and glass home that overlooks a Sloavakian forest. The frame overlooks a forest by the village of Pernek and rests on top of a dug-sloping site. The home is defined by its full-height glass facade and finished with a roof that will slowly be covered with plants over time to conceal it.
The home has two floors with a living room, kitchen, and dining area on the ground floor with a workspace, and three bedrooms are found above. Ksa Studený speaks to Dezeen about the design and influence, stating "The inspiration was to build something similar to a hunter's lodge. This came from the site itself, its independence, positioned at the edge of the village and the direct orientation to the forest in opposition to the slope of the site. We designed the floor plan of the house in the shape of an isosceles trapezoid, mirroring its longitudinal profile. The interior space is free, divided into two floors connected by a staircase."
