Lagunitas is a beer brand, and A.J. Weydt was inspired to come up with his own twist on this company's look. He decided to go with a mainly text-focused look, but still make it illustrative at the same time.
As such the text becomes the artistic element on the label, with different colors used for the various types of beer. Each flavor of beer has the expression "Dog Gone Good" placed on the front, which helps to create this unified feel across the types of alcohol offered. While many would be against just using text for the label, it works well here, and beer buyers can automatically see just what kind of alcohol they are buying. Sometimes, graphic text can be just as powerful as detailed illustrations.
