House of Rum Diablo Spiced rum is the latest expression from the brand that follows on the success of its single-cask and cask-strength sipping rums that's ready to offer enthusiasts something new to try out. The spirit boasts a sugar cane recipe that has been distilled on a hybrid pot and column still with a series of exotic spices and bold flavors to boot. The final product features notes of vanilla, golden caramel, cinnamon, orange and raisin to make it well-suited for use in a variety of mixed drinks and cocktails alike.
Founder David Howarth commented on the House of Rum Diablo Spiced rum saying, "We have listened to our customer base who have asked us for a high-quality rum that they can use for mixing and for a longer drink experience than we offer with our single cask range. For too long, rum has been stuck. Buried under pirate iconography, sweetened into submission or dismissed as something you will only survive with a mixer. We wanted to change that – we tried a limited run of spiced rum recipes four years ago, but have worked on it since then and after a lot of work, now believe we have got the perfect flavour profile and the right look and feel."
