Aged Single-Esters Rums

Hampden Estate Launches Hampden Fifteen 15YO

Hampden Estate introduced Hampden Fifteen, a 15-year-old rum added to the Jamaican distillery’s permanent range, featuring the house’s high-ester profile distilled in traditional copper double retort pot stills. Bottled at 50% ABV, the expression was matured for 15 years in ex-bourbon casks in Jamaica’s tropical climate, where accelerated ageing and an intense angel’s share concentrated its flavors.

The release joins Hampden’s core lineup alongside Hampden Estate 1753 and HLCF Classic and was priced at £370 for a 700ml bottle in the UK through Speciality Brands. Hampden Fifteen’s tasting notes include citrus oils, marmalade, ripe mango, cinnamon, clove and bitter chocolate, designed for sipping or over ice. For consumers, the rum underscores a trend toward older, terroir-driven rums that showcase traditional distillation, ester-rich aromatics and tropical maturation as markers of premium provenance.
