The DropWorks Distiller’s Drops series has been announced by the brand as a new range of expressions that will offer discerning spirit enthusiasts with artisanal taste experiences. The product range is making its debut with an expression that has been matured in English sweet chestnut casks for 17 months and is limited to 750 bottles. The modern rum will be available exclusively to the 295 investors who supported the distillery through a crowdfunding campaign earlier this year starting October 27 before being more widely available November 3, 2025.
Founder and Master Distiller Lewis Hayes spoke on the DropWorks Distiller’s Drops series saying, "Traditionally, rum is aged in oak casks, which add familiar notes of vanilla and coconut thanks to natural lactones in the wood. The English chestnut wood creates a nutty, rounded flavour profile, with notes of praline, roasted chestnuts, and warm autumnal tones."
