DropWorks is on a mission to change the way people think about rum and its debut product is shaking up the category with a first-of-its-kind distillation process. DropWorks' self-described "high-quality eclectic product," Clear Drop Rum, was made possible with DropWorks' own cultivated yeast strain, Trinity Yeast, which is the world’s first three-strain symbiotic yeast.
This liquid is unaged, unadulterated and free from embellishments, and it shares only the best of the best from a long, slow distillation process. Clear Drop Rum is made with hybrid molasses and organic cane juice honey, both of which are fermented and blended on-site and is distilled using three custom-made, bespoke stills, including a double retort still, which is the first of its kind in England.
In terms of taste, Clear Drop Rum is said to share the taste of blueberries, vanilla ice cream and banana.
