Haikara Sake Aims to Make the Traditional Drink Appealing to Americans

In response to a growing interest in Japanese sake from American consumers, Umenoyado USA created Haikara Sake.

The sake is offered in two Japanese fruit flavors with packaging that is also aimed at making the alcoholic beverages seem approachable to the average American consumer. The sake is comes in at 12.5% ABV, which means it has a lower percent of alcohol by volume than some wine and most undiluted sake. The Momo Haikara Sake flavor comes from a type of Japanese peach that is said to be delicate and sweet, while the Yuzu variety is comparable in taste to familiar citrus fruits like the orange, grapefruit and lemon.

The combination of sake and exotic Japanese fruit juice in Haikara Sake lends itself well to being enjoyed chilled or over ice, as well as mixed into form a variety of creative cocktails.
