Gari-Gari Kun popsicles are known for coming in a range of wacky flavors and now, the popsicle maker Akagi is adding pasta to its assortment.
The Neapolitan Gari-Gari Kun flavor was inspired by the traditional Italian spaghetti napolitana dish. In popsicle form, the cool treat will have a tomato sauce flavoring and tomato gelatin bits throughout its center.
The introduction of the Neapolitan Gari-Gari Kun popsicle was teased on Twitter with a picture, earning over 15,000 retweets. The popsicles have yet to hit stores in Japan, but it seems there is definitely some interest being generated in the bizarre flavor. The pasta-flavored pop will join Gari-Gari Kun's line of unusually savory flavors like potato stew, corn soup and soda, for the less adventurous.
