Satirical Metaverse Commercials

The First Choice Metaverrrrrr Ad Pokes Fun at the Metaverse

The First Choice Metaverrrrrr commercial was entirely shot in the metaverse and this ads from a bank in Thailand satirizes the current fixation with virtual worlds. With the aim of capturing the interests of a younger audience, the Thai bank created a commercial that starts a pair of presenters who arrive in the metaverse as avatars to promote First Choice's credit cards.

The commercial created by ad agency Leo Burnett Thailand becomes increasingly, and intentionally, bogged down by demanding and conflicting input from the marketing team in the ad, as well as glitches.

Earlier this year, First Choice dropped its own NFT Credit Card ART Collaboration featuring unique art created by Thai NFT artist PUCK—and the owner of that non-fungible token got amillion privilege points on their physical First Choice credit card.
