7-Eleven is Unveiling an Immersive Virtual World at CES 2023

At the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show, 7-Eleven will be showing off a life-like metaverse store where users can interact with various snacks and drinks in a fun way. The immersive world welcomes users to create their avatar via a mobile device, computer or VR headset so that they can explore all the fantastical virtual world has to offer.

Within the metaverse space created by the South Korean operator of global convenience store franchise 7-Eleven and developer Caliverse, avatars will grimace when they eat extremely spicy or bitter snacks, and their hair will change color as a result of drinking beverages. The imaginative virtual world inspired by the convenience store chain is also a place where users can purchase other food items, such as ice creams that double as light sticks for concert experiences.
