Paint is ubiquitous, covering many of the things that people interact with on a daily basis, and 'Finiture Green' is a Milan Design Week exhibition that is looking to make that common material more environmentally palatable for use on painters' palettes. The exhibition features eco-friendly finishes from a variety of different brands.
Many commercial and industrial paints make use of harsh chemicals, but the finishes on display at Finiture Green will all be plant-based alternatives. The products, which include a resin from science company Decovery, will come from renewable materials, and the exhibit will highlight the green lifecycle of the products, from harvest to disposal.
The event will take place at the Highline Galleria, which is on the roof of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan.
