Airy Furniture Exhibits

The Beyond Icons Collection by Aarhus School of Architecture is Ethereal

The Beyond Icons exhibit may have a set theme, yet if there wasn't one, it would be easy to focus on a quality like air or a descriptor such as lightweight. Each and every one of the designs has an airy, lightweight quality about them it is ultra modern in an ethereal sort of way. It doesn't hurt that the Beyond Icons collection happens to adhere to a nearly all-white palette as well.

Designed by students from the Aarhus School of Architecture including Ninna Kjærgård Nielsen,
 Aviaaja Ezekiassen, Anne Marie Mau,
Anders Kjærgaard and
Yuan Deng, the Beyond Icons exhibit showcases a lot of raw talent. It helps that they were charged with interpreting "icons that have made a difference in time and space and changed our view on certain typologies--or even changed our behavior."
