Jan von Holleben often will place his models (predominately children) on a highly decorated floor, allowing him to capture an image that would be otherwise impossible to create. In thes photographs people can see children flying next to airplanes, surfing among the waves or trying desperately to avoid the jaws of a large, pursuing animal.

In all of the photo shoots Holleben's love for the imaginative and playful is clearly expressed. Rather than retiring his inner child, the artist has a found a creative medium in which artwork and imagination go hand in hand.
