BAPE Joins the Van Gogh Museum on a Joint Capsule

BAPE works in collaboration with the Van Gogh museum on a unique and limited collection that shine a spotlight on the iconic works by the late artist. The two highlight paintings, including Sunflowers and Yellow House in ways that fuse elements of fine art with streetwear.

The Dutch artist and the Japanese brand merge aesthetics as the collection features 'Self-Portrait in a Gray Felt Hat” (1887), “Blooming Plum Orchard (copy of Hiroshige’s work)” (1887), “Yellow House” (1888), “Sunflowers” (1889), “Blooming Almonds” (1890) and “Wheat Field with Crows” (1890).' These are integrated into signature designs by BAPE with the APE HEAD and other emblems used to depict components from the aforementioned art. For example, the Shark Hoodie is reimagined with Van Gogh's painting style.
