The fashion world has experienced somewhat of a revolution in which designer collaborations reign supreme.

High fashion houses come together with mass retailers in collaboration to make designer duds affordable. The most high-profile cases have been seen with Swedish multinational retail behemoth H&M who has worked with iconic brands like Versace, Lanvin and most recently the highly anticipated Maison Martin Margiela collection. Also at the forefront of this phenomenon are brands like Target and Topshop who boast collaborations with Jason Wu, Missoni and Mary Katrantzou.

Following the legacy of the visionary Diana Vreeland, the idea of accessibility and the mix of high-low has evolved exponentially. This mix, and by extension collaborations have become a highly prominent aspect of today’s fashion industry.
