Jason Wu for Brizo Spring 2012 Collection Offers Haute Housewares

Designers are foraying into the world of housewares; the Missoni home collection for Target was a huge hit earlier this year, and Jason Wu for Brizo is another to take advantage of fashionistas with a penchant for couture home products.

Launching next spring, the Jason Wu for Brizo collection is an extension of Wu's previous collaboration with home furnishings brand Brizo to create designer faucets. This new collection will comprise all the essentials for a really stylish (if a little unnecessary) powder room: soap pump, trash can, drawer knobs and of course, a new and spectacularly designed faucet named 'Odin.'

The Odin faucet, of which only 1,000 are made, is equipped with SmartTouchPlus™ Technology, according to the Jason Wu for Brizo press relase. This means users can start and stop the water flow simply by touching the faucet anywhere. Currently, the faucet can be pre-ordered on the Brizo site and those who pre-order will get a signed and hand-numbered illustration by Jason Wu as well as a special Jason Wu for Brizo keychain.
