Street Style Artist Mashups

The Kevin Lyons X MEI Collection is a Culture Junkie's Dream

The Kevin Lyons X MEI collection is a rowdy collection of messenger bags, backpacks and graphic t-shirts. The Tokyo/California-based company Mountain Equipment Inc. teamed with Kevin Lyons, the former creative director for Urban Outfitters to create this exciting line.

Kevin Lyons is a master of vulgarity and typography. His work has been featured on graffiti-inspired posters, deck work and kitchen wear. His eye for design and unmeasurable grasp on youthful energy is easily transcribed into each of his projects. In the preview video, Lyons praises the inspiration for his collaboration with MEI Japanese design. He explains that everything has character, from warning labels to signage.

The 'All You Can Eat' collection boasts Lyons' signature monster doodle with a satirical, ironic speech bubble. The design is simple and endearing, slewed across the reliable totes from MEI.
