Pulling off a public prank takes nerve, a quick wit and most of all, a good sense of humor. If you’re looking for some inspiration, most of these stunts could be pulled off spontaneously on any day of the year, as well as being absolutely worthy of April Fool’s Day.

For maximum effect, some of the best places to get lots of people involved naturally include highly crowded areas like subways or mall food courts. These spots are perfect for disrupting the norm with flash mobs or other objects and activities that would usually be out of place in that setting. Despite being prime locations for pranks, it’s still pretty difficult for people to see them coming.
