Implications - Designers will look to anything for inspiration, and in the past many have looked to pop culture for elements that can potentially be translated into fashion, whether it be a color, symbol, image, etc. Today, designers are translating pop culture into fashion in a most literal sense, infusing creations with blatant references to iconic cartoons and characters. This provides a quirky and novel appeal not often associated with high-end fashion items while also offering consumers a touch of nostalgia.
