SLEEP THE LABEL has launched its inaugural Dream Collection™, a women’s sleepwear and loungewear line built around a proprietary Bamboo Performance Blend fabric.
The Toronto-based brand, founded by apparel entrepreneur Brad Rudin, offers six silhouettes — a tank, tee, dress, shorts, pants, and kimono-inspired robe. The designs stand out because of the Bamboo Performance Blend fabric, which is composed of 94% plant-derived fibres with no polyester or nylon. The company maintains that its proprietary material was tested by Intertek for cooling, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying performance.
SLEEP THE LABEL highlights that its Dream Collection™ is available in an inclusive sizing range from XS to 3X. The collection was designed with input from Head of Design Carol Fergusson and plus-size designer Leila Kelleher, who developed plus-size patterns from the ground up rather than scaling standard sizes, with plans to extend the range to 6X.

What's Driving This Trend
- Plant-based Performance Fabrics
- Bio-derived textiles with cooling, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying properties create room for sustainable materials to compete with synthetic performance apparel.
- Inclusive Sleepwear Design
- Purpose-built plus-size patterns signal a shift toward fit systems that treat extended sizing as a core design requirement rather than an adaptation.
- Comfort-first Loungewear
- Breathable, soft, and versatile sleepwear reflects growing demand for apparel that blends rest, home comfort, and everyday wear.
Who This Affects Most
- Sleepwear
- Premium sleep collections are being reshaped by technical fabrics that add measurable comfort benefits to traditionally basic garments.
- Sustainable Apparel
- Plant-derived fibre blends offer brands a path to reduce reliance on polyester and nylon while preserving performance claims consumers recognize.
- Plus-size Fashion
- Ground-up pattern development for extended sizes reveals unmet potential in fit accuracy, comfort, and brand loyalty across underserved customer segments.
