'Good Mews,' a no-kill, cage-free cat shelter outside of Atlanta, Georgia, is offering classes called 'Yoga with Cats.' As the name indicates, the certified yogi-taught classes let participants stretch and breath in a room full of felines.
Considering cats' own affinity for stretching, the pets are ideal companions for a yoga session. That said, those in the class will be pressed even harder to focus on their mantras when an adorable kitten is simultaneously nuzzling against their leg.
The cuteness of cats in a yoga class is an intentional impediment, however. Good Mews' Yoga with Cats classes are a strategy for encouraging people to adopt the animals at the shelter. If a participant likes a particular cat, they're welcomed to take it home with them after they've finished.
