'The Lounge' by AT&T recently opened its doors for the first time in Seattle’s historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, introducing what the company calls a "second living room" for residents.
The AT&T store has been opened as a concept coffee shop with Ada's Discovery Cafe and it makes the most of technology in many ways, including coffee robots. In The Lounge, people are invited to use the ultra-fast network to stream their favorite video content or use the custom app to place an order for a beverage or perhaps a new phone.
By the end of 2019, AT&T has plans to introduce over 1,000 new stores, including mobile and pop-up shops. The Lounge is part of this strategy and as Jeff Bradley, West Region President at AT&T, describes "The Lounge is more about an experience than it is about retail. It’s a collection of services unlike anything else in our industry—it’s designed to change the way we engage with consumers."
