In order to give people in Romania a reason to donate blood, especially as the country is in short supply, a unique campaign was set up to coincide with the upcoming Untold Festival.
As a music event that's being hosted in Dracula's hometown of Transylvania, the event is asking people to trade their blood for a ticket. In partnership with Romania's National Institute for Blood Transfusions, mobile blood donation stations are being set up and for each person that makes a donation, they are rewarded with a free pass to the event. Considering that attending a music festival can be expensive, this is an affordable way to seek entertainment and potentially save a life at the same time.
Another standout campaign that drove people to donate blood took the form of a pop-up shop where fans could purchase Walking Dead merchandise. Although there is hardly anything fun about having blood drawn, the activity can be encouraged with the right kind of marketing.
