The Playr wearable device may appear fairly simple but the gadget helps track the performance of aspiring and professional soccer players. Designed by Benjamin Hubert's studio Layer, the Playr wearable was created in collaboration with sports analytics and tech company Catapult to be the ultimate tool to improve a soccer player's game.
Comprised of a Smartpod, a high-performance Smartvest and a SmartCoach app, the wearable brings together advanced GPS player tracking, along with personalized sports analytics to enhance performance. Designed for individual and team training, the Playr wearable offers up valuable data.
The device itself is built with a "softly muscular" design meant to represent the performance and strength the wearable offers. LEDs embedded into the device inform users of GPS signal strength and the battery life in a way that is intuitive and easy to use.
