Mirrored Acrylic Lighting

Jonas Loenborg's Pinecone Pendant Lamp is Inspired by Nature

There is a sci-fi quality about the Pinecone Pendant Lamp that doesn't really have anything to do with the materials used, but more with the shape and design it takes on. Modeled after a real pinecone (hence its name), it has a scaly aesthetic that almost makes it look like some kind of alien creature; chameleon-like creature, to be exact.

Created by Jonas Loenborg, a product designer living and working in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Pinecone Pendant Lamp is made out of various materials. The most interesting one has to be the mirror acrylics, but the white and clear acrylics are just as captivating -- not to mention the birch plywood, which really makes it look like a pinecone. It is available in two sizes.
