The designer Joseph Rastrullo recently introduced a new, stunning lighting fixture — the Nova Pendant Light. This sculptural object is intended to serve as a focal point in contemporary interior settings.
The Nova Pendant Light utilizes a common industrial material — aluminum or iron wire mesh — which is manually shaped and layered into an asymmetric, fluid form and finished in a vivid orange color. At its core, the design aims to evoke the visual drama of a stellar explosion or nebula. Its organic and textured aesthetic explicitly challenges conventional luxury lighting tropes, such as crystal or high-polish finishes. The light diffuses through the mesh structure to create a warm and patterned illumination.
