New York-based design firm Blue Green Works presents the Wood collection, which is comprised of lighting units inspired by skateboard culture. The inspiration can be seen with the smooth curvatures drawn from skateboarding half-pipes. The founder and creative director of the firm, Peter B. Staples redefines the elements of wood for the capsule, bringing it to the forefront.
The collection highlights the beauty of Black Walnut and White Oak with a diffused light for a warm ambiance. This accentuates the natural grain and patterns of the lights whilst also nodding to a retro aesthetics in the 70s. To celebrate the launch, the team unveiled the collection in a temporary installation which is on display at Time Again, a bar in NYC's Chinatown.
