Material-Driven Tailoring

Graphpaper SS27 Collection Emphasizes Garments Shaped by Time

The Graphpaper SS27 collection debuted at Paris Fashion Week under the title What Time Leaves Behind, presenting a wardrobe designed to mature through long-term wear rather than seasonal replacement. Led by director Takayuki Minami, the collection draws on the Japanese concept of yohaku, or intentional empty space, translating it into restrained silhouettes, precise construction, and carefully selected materials. A muted palette inspired by weathered natural elements—including aged porcelain, moss-covered stone, dry oak, and sumi ink—reinforces the collection's focus on permanence, allowing fabrics and finishes to evolve naturally with continued use instead of relying on decorative embellishment.

The collection balances utilitarian functionality with refined tailoring through linen-cupro overshirts, relaxed sarouel trousers, seersucker blouses, cupro-cotton satin separates, and lightweight Pertex Unlimited outerwear. Garment-dyed coats, full-grain leather blousons, and linen-cotton judo jackets further highlight Graphpaper's emphasis on craftsmanship and material integrity
