The CHOP5 Salad Kitchen recently launched a photography event called the 'CHOP5 Salad Kitchen’s Dine, Blog & Shoot,' which introduced local influencers to its photogenic menu of salads, bowls and wraps. The social media-focused event was led by a local creative director and gave attendees the chance to improve their photography skills with a focus on the eatery's better-for-you food menu.
Aiming to connect with young, influential digital consumers, many restaurants, cafes and CPG brands are launching photography kits, in-house studio stations and external workshop events as a means of expanding their social reach, while also helping consumers level up their photo-taking skills. Other examples of Instagram-focused food and beverage photo workshops that have been launched include gin brand Beefeater's 'Beefeater Stills' and Haagen-Dazs' 'My Extraordinary Life' pop-up.
