The 'OrderNow' Bot Takes Food Orders Via Kik Messenger

Pingup recently launched a food ordering bot known as 'OrderNow' on the Kik messenger Bot Shop that makes the process of getting pizza, Chinese food or Thai bowls as simple as chatting with a friend.

OrderNow picks restaurants that are close to a user, so that delivery times are short. To begin the experience, users choose a type of cuisine, place an order and then wait for their food to arrive. This entire experience happens through a friendly chat with the OrderNow bot, who enthusiastically asks questions like "Hungry? Me too!" and "What type of food do you want to order?"

Bots like these are ushering in a new wave of conversational commerce that makes it easy for consumers to engage with an AI brand representative using natural language.
