Instacart and ChatGPT Now Offer an Instant Checkout Experience

With the support of AI, Instacart and ChatGPT are changing the way households shop for groceries. Now, thanks to a fully integrated Instacart commerce experience, consumers can shop from over 1,800 retailers directly within ChatGPT.

The Instacart ChatGPT app experience with Instant Checkout, currently available on desktop and mobile web, lets users begin with a prompt like "Instacart, can you help me shop for apple pie ingredients?" The app helps users find what they need from local retailers and provides a ready-to-review cart with the help of OpenAI models.

Thanks to this partnership, Instacart is the first grocery partner to launch an app on ChatGPT, as well as the first to offer an embedded, end-to-end shopping and Instant Checkout. “With the Instacart app directly in ChatGPT, users can go from meal planning to checkout in a single, seamless conversation,” said Nick Turley, VP, Head of ChatGPT.
