Walmart and OpenAI are partnering to redefine the future of retail with AI-first shopping experiences that make it easier for people to pick up essentials, plan meals, or discover new favorites. This partnership will begin by allowing customers and members to soon shop Walmart via ChatGPT using Instant Checkout. “For many years now, eCommerce shopping experiences have consisted of a search bar and a long list of item responses. That is about to change. There is a native AI experience coming that is multi-media, personalized and contextual," teased Doug McMillon, President and CEO, Walmart Inc.

Additionally, Walmart is empowering associates with AI tools and training, and promoting AI literacy across its workforce with OpenAI Certifications and ChatGPT Enterprise for teams.
