Planet Based Foods is the first and only company to produce nutritious plant-based meat with sustainable hemp as its primary ingredient at at Natural Products Expo West, and it will be offering the first taste of its new hemp-based ice cream. This new organic vegan ice cream is allergen-free and it applies the company's expertise in working with hemp to a new category.
The hemp-based ice cream explores classic flavors with an earth-friendly twist thanks to varieties like butter pecan, chocolate, coffee chip and vanilla. Robert Davis, chief innovation officer, Planet Based Foods, said "We used our favorite dairy ice cream as inspiration because we want to appeal to as many people as possible."
