Artistic Sports Complexes

The Drieburcht Sports Complex Doubles as Public Art Space and Facility

Usually one would associate a sporting space with hockey and soccer, but the Drieburcht Sports Complex is making onlookers think a little differently upon first glance. The outside design has been turned into more of a public art space than just a piece of architecture.

One of the goals for the complex was to ensure that the building really added to the overall appearance of the neighborhood, instead of just being another piece of concrete for people to play in. The design was completed by VenhoevenCS Architecture + Urbanism, and the team did a great job with fusing the practical needs of the facility, with the artistic vision of the designers.

For those who enjoy sports as well as art, the Drieburcht Sports Complex provides the perfect fusion between the two.
