The Kolchyno Ice Center is a conceptual design created by Katia Orli and it is proposed for Kolhyno in Ukraine. The Kolchyno Ice Center building is meant to be a venue that is made for multiple sports including an ice rink and swimming pool as well.
The space will allow for sporting competitions throughout the year and the most defining part of the concept is the hyper-fluid architecture. It is inspired by the natural flow of water and the way that blades glide along the ice. The Kolchyno Ice Center sees various layers of flowing facades, which creates an in-depth look when viewing the structure from the front. It replicates the look of mountains or sand dunes flowing along one another.
