Although Lyle & Scott's Carnaby Street location might seem like a regular location for the retailer, it's actually far more digitally inclined than it lets on. Outfitted with beacon technology, the retailer partnered with technology brand Iconeme to bring new experiences to shoppers.
The technology enables the brand to communicate with window shoppers that might not otherwise enter the store, enable 24/7 shopping and engage those that enter the store. The information relayed to consumers ranges from special discounts, to simple messages wishing them the best for the holidays.
Many consumers are entering retail spaces with their smartphone in-hand, which offers retailers immense capabilities. The Lyle & Scott Carnaby Street location is one example of how traditional experiences with sales associates are being replaced with laid-back digital communications.
