Andersson-Wise, an American architecture studio, recently designed a boathouse on Lake Austin called the 'Bunny Run Boat Dock.' Crafted from a combination of raw materials and salvaged wood, the boathouse has an intentionally cobbled-together look that's reminiscent of the lakeside shanties that one might imagine in a episode of 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.'
The Bunny Run Boat Dock is a multifunctional building. It's lowest level, on the water, contains two boat slips. In the loft above, the boathouse holds an open air bar replete with comfortable seating as well as a balcony from which swimmers can leap into the lake below. At about 15 feet above the surface, jumping from the balcony is sure to be a thrill for any kids that get to hang out around the Bunny Run Boat Dock.
