Garde Hvalsøe Presents the New Copenhagen Modern Boathouse

— June 11, 2025 — Art & Design
Found in the center of the Copenhagen Harbour is a unique design by Garde Hvalsøe. On the water is a two-storey modern houseboat which is just between the city's opera house and recently renovated Paper Island. The houseboat is owned by the founder of the studio and is defined by progressive living and supported by a timeless construction.

The home represents a personal and professional moment for Garde as he had spent almost two years on this project. The design started by having to find the perfect spot on the water, which was an elusive part of the planning. The harbor is in high demand with its limited space so this took months to secure the right location.
