Refurbished 60s House Interiors

Design Within Reach Gives the Iconic Stahl House a Fresh Twist

Consisting of a beautiful structural facade, a breathtaking view of an urban area and the best of 60s house interiors, "the Stahl House-- Case Study House No.22 designed by architect Pierre Koenig" has come to be known as one of the most famous homes in the United States. Recently, studio Design Within Reach were tasked with revamping the residence, while still retaining the stylistic elements that ultimately give the Stahl House its architectural and design charm.

Design Milk had the privilege in visiting the newly refurbished spaced and reported that "aside from a few Bluetooth speakers," the overtly fabulous 60s house interior was preserved. The furniture, provided by Design Within Reach, will be in the Stahl House indefinitely. The fact that the pieces are able to integrate themselves so effortlessly within the 60s-influenced narrative, might allude to some conclusions as to what direction the contemporary interior design is taking.
