From South Pole Street Views to Time-Elapsing Collages

These street views demonstrate how Google Street View can be adjusted and manipulated for purposes other than finding one's way.

For example, artist Hally Docherty has taken old photographs from famous locations around the world, and superimposed them onto present-day Google Street View images. The result is a side-by-side comparison of how much places have developed over the course of 20 years or so. Other adjustments to street views include the Google Street View Trekker, which is mapping nature trails from across the globe to accommodate nature-lovers. If that wasn't enough, people can even see what's happening at the poles through street view Antarctica.

Once again Google flexes its tech muscles, proving that adaptions on this popular piece of software inspire not only itself, but others too.
