Ever wonder what it’s like to travel to Venice? Renowned for its beautiful settings, gorgeously dated architecture and historical artworks it is certainly a dream come true to visit, and now, thanks to Google Street View, we have a chance to take a virtual tour in Venice!

Thanks to Google’s advanced technology for world mapping, the Street View Trekker allows Google engineers to map areas accessible only on foot, offering up the most picturesque canals, brick layered walkways and even a personal tour on a gondola.

Google Street View allows us to see the process of how Google Maps are made and take a virtual vacation at the same time. In the short video, we are introduced to how many bridges, canals and islands Venice consists of. We are taken on an intimate tour of shoe shops, market places, walkways, alleys, iconic landmarks and canal ways.
