If you’ve used Google at all today, you might have noticed Sesame Street’s Big Bird legs. Why the sudden tribute to the iconic kid’s program? Well today is Sesame Street’s 40th anniversary. Yes, it’s been around for that long. Sadly, however, the proliferation of tech toys and virtual games has probably made traditional Sesame Street a miniscule part of children’s pop culture.

I don’t even know if kids still watch Sesame Street, but I do know that with all these super hi-tech toys, it’s easy to forget about the old school Big Bird. Even Elmo isn’t old school anymore. He’s turned into a robot. Just take a look at this cluster filled with tech toys for kids and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
