Lady Gaga’s ‘Artpop’ -- her highly anticipated third musical effort -- was released on November 6th to mixed reviews, but that didn’t stop the diminutive pop diva from celebrating in style. Gaga showed up to the records release party in a dress of her own design, titled ‘Volantis.’
The record was not the only thing that launched, however; the dress was also equipped flying capabilities. Yes, the dress was outfitted with six propellers that catapulted Gaga a few feet into the air and allowed to hover through the room. The dress was designed by the technical branch of the Haus of Gaga and has been in the works for approximately two years.
Before the party, Gaga spoke of the launch, saying, “I wanted to make today about something even more important to me, and that something is the youth of the world. Their minds are just so boundless. They’re just so inspiring.”
