The Redesigned Yasutaka Yoshimura Architects House is a Wooden Wonder
Emily Evans — June 6, 2011 — Art & Design
It seems as if anything the architects and designers at Yasutaka Yoshimura Architects touches turns to design gold. Their latest project is a redesign of an abode situated on the stunning Yamagata coast of Japan. This project was not solely taken under by Yasutaka Yoshimura Architects, but rather, they collaborated with a few students who attend the Tohoku University of Art and Design.
Popular art website White Zine had this to say about the redesign project, "in this case, the interior design was totally conceived with one eye in the past, re-creating the atmosphere of their ancestors, and one eye in the present, with contemporary materials."
Through totally rethinking what a modern living experience should be like, Yasutaka Yoshimura Architects and the design students involved were able to revamp this coastal abode with elegance and grace.
