This renovation of an old two-storey wooden house in Nakano, Tokyo rocks!
It is the idea of Japanese architect Ikeda Yukie, and I am totally in lust with it. The house has tree stumps reaching from floor to ceiling, as if trees were bursting through from the ground. The building is a really original piece of architecture that is very functional at the same time.
Aesthetically, the project is amazing, and I can’t help but wonder what it might be like to live in an indoor forest on a permanent basis. I would love to try it out!
