The average couch doesn't have the most ergonomic form, but perhaps this wavy sofa does? Designed without armrests or a backrest, this piece of furniture more naturally complements the curves of the human body with its gentle undulating surface.
Sascha Akkermann thought inside of the box -- so to speak -- when he dreamed up this unual seating object. Calling it the Softsitty Seating Landscape, the designer worked with a collection of square-bottomed units that combine into a big 3-meter by 3-meter lounger.
What's really neat about this wavy sofa is that its surface looks so organic; however, it's completely contrived by carefully arranging the 144 separate modules to form continuous curvatures. Little cushioned tops make this a very cozy place to curl up, with your waist, hips and head strategically supported.
