Volkswagen Created a VR Viewing Experience to Introduce the T-Roc

To kick off the launch of the Volkswagen T-Roc, the automotive brand set up an interactive VR viewing experience within the lobby of the Volkswagen Brand Tower in Germany.

The free-to-try VR experience is powered by HTC Vive and boasts a simple, intuitive interface. Within the virtual world, users are able to see their own hands in virtual reality thanks to the use of Leap Motion hand-tracking technology. The use of one's hands plays a part in helping to customize the look of the car's exterior, make selections and interact with interior components of the virtual vehicle such as the horn, radio, sunroof and glove compartment.

Unlike many VR experiences, this one requires no tutorials to get users acquainted with the technology, making it appealing to drivers—and prospective new vehicle owners—of all ages.
