Pentagram's 'Upside Down Map Quiz' is a test that makes even the simplest questions difficult for those who consider themselves geography buffs. Questions on the quiz ask players to guess countries based on their location and shape, or capital cities based on where the country is. Most geography aces would consider that an easy feat -- the trick is that the Upside Down Map Quiz turns the world map in various directions, forcing players to rethink their concept of geography.
Though across most of the Western world the map has north on top, there's no inherent reason for that to be the case. Maps are human constructions to make sense of the world, and Earth is a sphere, so it has no up or down.
