Sony Offers Opportunity to Become a Player in the Uncharted Audition

For many people computer games have become a common form of entertainment with many games having the storylines and production values of big budget films, but with the Sony Uncharted Audition, they are now a cultural media in and of themselves. Because of advances in technology and gaming, it is possible to feel like you are part of the action.

Now Sony is offering people the chance to experience that feeling for real with the Uncharted Audition -- the world’s first character audition on Facebook. The grand prize is a trip to Naughty Dog’s studio where the winner will get to create their own in-game multiplayer character for Uncharted 3, and experience the behind the scenes of motion capture.

Motion capture technology now provides the opportunity to map a person’s expressions and movements into the environment of a game making it possible for an individual to be made into a gaming character. In the future it is possible that our digital avatars will be exact replicas of their real-world counterparts.
